1.优质树脂和玻璃纤维所组成的固体绝缘具有很高的电气强度(击穿电压不小于34kV/mm)， 局部放电量小，可控制在≤5pc范围内。由于干式变压器所用的树脂和玻璃纤维复合绝缘材料在燃烧时产生的热量极小(约65mJ/kg), 因此具有阻燃自熄的特点。

2.干式变压器的铁心用树脂涂覆，线圈全部被树脂包封，因此可在空气相对湿变100%湿度下可靠运行，并具有很高的防腐蚀能力。

3.干式变压器同时还具有过负荷能力强，热稳定性好、体积小、重量轻、安装简单方便，免维护等优点。
